The benefits of advertising in CYT playbills include exposure to an estimated 1500 patrons per production, ongoing advertising since playbills serve as keepsakes, reveals their support of local youth and family oriented programs and enables CYT Wichita to continue providing fine arts programs for youth in our community.

THE FUNDING OF CYT WICHITA AND THE NEED FOR CHARITABLE SUPPORT

An annual budget of more than $140,000 pays for costumes, sets, props, sound, lights, rental of theaters and classroom space, teacher stipends, artistic team stipends, curriculum writing and design, royalties and many other training and production costs. Only about 70% of the total comes from ticket sales and tuition and fees. CYT Wichita must raise more than $42,000 each year to ensure that all the productions and student programs are adequately funded.

We have seen God’s confirmation of the need for CYT in Wichita, and many evidences of His provision throughout our startup. After budget tweaking and a variety of sponsorship donations, GOD has miraculously kept our budget and sponsorship goals on track for fall. Last August, our need appeared to be impossible and daunting. Today, the Steering Committee stands in awe of God's provision. The committee has approved a winter budget, and moved forward with winter offerings which you see listed on our website. Current projected sponsorship needs are about $5,000 for Winter, which is a far cry from our original projected deficit and one we believe can be met. Direction is clear: it is time to proceed.

Philanthropic support is critical to CYT Wichita to continue to make the program affordable. CYT Wichita has made a conscious effort to keep both tuition and ticket prices low in order to make the program accessible for families throughout Wichita. Without charitable support, the CYT Wichita program could not be sustained at a reasonable cost to the students. Because the CYT Wichita program involves a new group of students every year – in addition to those who continue in the program – it is critically important for CYT Wichita to generate consistent sources of revenue.
